    OVI checkpoint locations identified within the Miami Valley

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Precise locations and times for various OVI checkpoints are now being released by local law enforcement.

    DAYTON

    The City of Dayton announced that OVI checkpoints will be established in two areas today.

    The city announced that Wagner Ford Road and Needmore Road will each house a checkpoint.

    The checkpoints will be in place from 10 p.m.-midnight tonight. The Dayton Police Department and Combined Agency OVI Task Force will supervise the checkpoints alongside OSP troopers.

    Before the checkpoints are maintained on the aforementioned roads, the Combined Agency OVI Task Force will assist in supervising the checkpoint around the 4600 block of North Main Street from 7-9 p.m.

    HARRISON TWP.

    The Dayton Patrol Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post announced that a checkpoint will be held in Harrison Township, along State Route 48 , tonight from 7-9 p.m.

    The checkpoint will be held near saturation patrols to combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.

    AUGLAIZE COUNTY

    Meanwhile in Auglaize County, an OVI checkpoint will be held along County Road 25A from 7-9 p.m.

    The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, the Wapakoneta Police Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation will each assist with the handling of the checkpoint.

    According to a release from the Wapakoneta Patrol Post of OSP, the checkpoint will also be held near saturation patrols to combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.
