    Private companies added 150K jobs in June: ADP

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — New statistics show the U.S. economy added jobs at a slower rate than expected in June.

    According to ADP, a worldwide payroll provider, 150,000 jobs in private companies were added in June. Economists were projecting 160,000 for the month. In May, 157,000 jobs were added.

    The June total was the least monthly gain since January.

    On Friday, July 5, the U.S. Department of Labor is expected to release its monthly jobs report. In the report, it is anticipated to show an addition of 200,000 jobs.
