CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Named Ohio’s largest one-day event, the Americana Festival is in full-swing on the Fourth of July.

The event began this morning at 9:30 a.m. with food and craft vendors lining the streets. The parade also headlined the 10 a.m. hour of the daylong event.

Residents still have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities as the festival will rollick along until 5 p.m. Eagle-eyed residents may also see 2 NEWS crews enjoying the festival as well.

While there, you may also notice an interesting looking bus.

According to the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA), a bus highlighting historical landmarks from Montgomery County will debut at the festival today.

The bus features a tagline that reads “A Bus Ride Down Memory Lane” and displays a series of polaroids that showcase areas such as Hara Arena, the former Callahan building, and Woody’s Market in West Carrollton.

These photos will be switched out periodically to keep the memories fresh.

The RTA will also offer free rides systemwide for customers on the Fourth of July.
