DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A few showers and storms will redevelop Thursday evening, but most should move out just in time for the 4th of July fireworks displays.

A cold front will move through Friday afternoon and trigger more showers and storms, but it’ll also usher in cooler and much less humid air for the weekend.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered evening showers and thunderstorms. Mild and very muggy. Low 69

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few passing showers and thunderstorms. Continued humid. High 86

FRIDAY NIGHT: A leftover evening shower or storm, then clearing skies. Low 65

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, cooler and much less humid. High 81

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonably warm. High 86

The summer heat and humidity will return Monday with highs reaching 90° under mostly sunny skies. Our next weathermaker could bring rain as early as Monday night. The threat of showers and storms will continue through the day on Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Wednesday will bring partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 80s.
