2 arrested as Cleverly Road death investigation continues

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Two men are in custody as police investigate a shooting and the deaths of two men on Thursday.

Police were called out to the scene of a shooting on Cleverly Road just before 4 p.m. on July 18. Upon arrival, they found a man with several gunshot wounds who was transported to a local hospital.

The shooting victim has been identified as a 20-year-old male, who police say is in stable condition as of Friday morning.

While on scene, officers discovered two men, ages 18 and 25, dead in a vehicle crashed nearby. Police have not confirmed if these two incidents are connected or if the men were shot.

Two people have been arrested in connection to this incident, but neither are facing charges directly related to the shooting. A 21-year-old male was arrested for having weapons under disability.

An 18-year-old male was also arrested for misconduct in an emergency, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and failure to disclose personal information. Police say he darted under crime scene tape during the investigation.
