Two juveniles in critical condition following Washington Twp. crash

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Deputies are investigating a serious injury rollover crash that occurred in Washington Township Friday evening.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, crews were called to the intersection of Spring Valley Pike and Rooks Road just before 3:45 p.m. on July 26.

Upon arrival, they discovered a Kia Spectra flipped on its top and a Ford Edge with front end damage. Two juveniles were trapped inside of the Kia, one of who was unconscious.

Crews extricated the two kids before they were sent to the hospital with serious injuries. Both juveniles are currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Kia was also identified as a juvenile, who was treated at the scene and released to their parents. The Ford driver was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Deputies do not suspect impairment as a cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit.

The intersection was closed for approximately three hours while crews were on scene.
