    DCS partners with Bryan College to enhance local education

    DAYTON — The Bryan College Education Department and Dayton City School recently announced a pioneering partnership aimed at enriching the professional development of future educators.

    This collaboration recently saw promising educators from Bryan College being guided by instructional coaches from Dayton City School in a dynamic session focused on curriculum review, lesson planning and unit preparation.

    “The session provided an invaluable opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain real-world insights and hands-on experience under the mentorship of seasoned professionals,” Dayton City School Superintendent Trish Newsom said.

    Led by Dayton City instructional coaches Brittany Rievely and Lindsey Dockery, participants delved into comprehensive discussions on effective teaching strategies, tailored curriculum development, and innovative approaches to lesson planning.

    “This partnership underscores a shared commitment to fostering excellence in education and empowering the next generation of educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic field of teaching,” Newsome said.

    She said both the Bryan College Education Department and Dayton City School expressed their enthusiasm for this collaboration and look forward to continued collaboration in shaping the future of education.
