Glenda Mae Douglas, 79, of Dayton, passed away at her home Monday April 29, 2024.

A lifelong resident, she was born Aug. 8, 1944, to Arvie and Mildred Cox in Dayton.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Arvie and Mildred Cox; husband, Jerry Mack Douglas Sr.; daughter, Janie Douglas; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Powell and Vicky Ruyz.

Mrs. Douglas is survived by four children, Reva Prater, Jerry Mack (Rhonda) Douglas Jr., James (Teresa) Douglas and Ronnie (Christie) Douglas; two sisters, Norma Davis and Judy Iles; one brother, Bobby Cox; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Chris, Carmen, Amy, Tasha, Jerry Mack III, Stacie, Dalton, and David; 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held graveside on Wednesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Spivey Cemetery with Brother Scotty Smith officiating.

Coulter Garrison Funeral Home of Dayton is in charge of arrangements.
