    Housing authority commissioner retires after nearly 30 years of service

    DAYTON — After nearly three decades of dedicated service to the community at the Dayton Housing Authority, commissioner James Cunnyngham announced his retirement to the board.

    “With gratitude and appreciation, we commemorate the remarkable tenure of commissioner Cunnyngham, whose commitment has left a mark on our Housing Authority,” housing authority officials said.

    “Throughout his 27-years on the Dayton Housing Authority Board, commissioner Cunnyngham has been a advocate for progress and positive change. Commissioner Cunnyngham has worked to address the needs of our residents, championing initiatives that have enriched the lives of countless individuals and families.

    “Beyond his Board duties, commissioner Cunnyngham’s genuine concern for the well-being of the Dayton Housing Authority has earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and residents alike.

    “While his departure leaves a void in our local governance, we remain grateful for the invaluable contributions commissioner Cunnyngham has made over the years. We would like to extend warmest wishes to him as he embarks on this well-deserved retirement.”
