A senior prank at DeLand High School involved toilet-papering, plastic-wrapping and spray-painting parts of the campus early Monday morning.

Danielle Johnson, Volusia's director of community information, confirmed the incident in an email; she said the campus didn't sustain permanent damage and all items have been cleaned.

She also confirmed that there was no disruption to class time Monday.

It is unclear how many students were involved with the prank. According to Johnson, the school is still investigating the incident. Johnson said students in violation of the Student Code of Conduct are disciplined accordingly and that the district is unable to share specifics pertaining to student discipline.

"We understand the excitement is high as the end of the year approaches and this is a common time of the year for senior pranks," Johnson said in an email. "While we're proud of everything our graduating seniors have accomplished, we continue to encourage them to make good decisions as we close out the school year and they head into their next chapter."
