Volusia-Flagler high school football: Your preseason guide to the 2024 season

The Volusia-Flagler area thrived during the 2023 high school football campaign. Mainland captured a state championship. DeLand won its region for the first time since 2009. And eight local teams qualified for the FHSAA playoffs.

What will 2024 bring?

We’ll find out soon. The regular season kicks off Thursday, Aug. 22, and Friday, Aug. 23, and the News-Journal will be covering it every step of the way.
