A GoFundMe fundraising drive to help the family of the woman who police said was stabbed to death by her husband Aug. 2 in Bunnell has raised $8,860 as of Aug. 23.

Yolonda Williams, 50, had five children, two adult children, one special needs child and two minor children, according to her mother, Annette Anderson.

“My daughter’s life was tragically taken ... by the hands of her husband. She was an employee of Flagler Cares . Yolonda touched so many lives in Flagler and Volusia counties. Her job took her into the households of teen mothers, battered women, abused women and children,” Anderson wrote.

She went on to write. “We would greatly appreciate your help to start an account for the younger children.”

Williams’ husband, Jermaine Williams Sr., 52, was charged with first-degree premeditated murder and violation of probation. He was on probation for beating her two years ago when police said he killed her in the driveway of their home on South Pine Street.

He stabbed his wife, Yolonda Williams, 50, multiple times outside their home at 408 S. Pine St. in Bunnell, according to a release from Bunnell Police Chief David Brannon.

Jermaine Williams was indicted on a charge of first-degree murder Aug. 21 and is being held without bail at the Flagler County jail.
