AdventHealth Fish Memorial suffers flood damage

7:07 a.m. Hurricane Milton's heavy rain caused flood damage to AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City early Thursday.

Jeff Grainger, director of external communications for AdventHealth, said late Thursday that many of the roadways in close proximity to the Fish Memorial hospital have been impacted by the storm.

Threadgill Place, a road that borders the hospital's property to the west, was among Orange City streets that washed out and was closed.

"Our teams responded quickly to manage the situation effectively and the hospital remains open and is actively caring for patients," Grainger said in an email.

The hospital is advising the public to access the hospital from its Harley Strickland Boulevard entrance. The AdventHealth Deltona emergency room is also open and operational, Grainger said.
