Avangrid Begins Largest Solar Grazing Operation in the Pacific Northwest
PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 23, 2024-- Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a leading sustainable energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, has partnered with a fifth-generation Oregon rancher to graze sheep at two solar farms in Oregon and Washington, and launched the largest “solar grazing” operation in the region. Solar grazing is a vegetation management method used at solar energy facilities that uses grazing livestock, like sheep, instead of machinery. Sheep are effective at limiting the growth of weeds and vegetation, cutting down on wildfire risks while replacing the use of gas-powered machines. This press release features multimedia. 24-year-old Lewiston man arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old
LEWISTON, Idaho – A 24-year-old man from Lewiston was arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old child. According to the Lewiston Police Department, detectives were called to a house in Lewiston on the evening of July 23 when a family member of the child walked in and reportedly saw the suspect identified Dakota Hall, 24 allegedly raping the child. Police subsequently interviewed the witness, the child victim and the suspect. Both the child and the witness stated that the man had engaged in lewd conduct.
