Greenburg Road on-ramp to northbound Highway 217 to close for a week
Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 29, the Greenburg Road on-ramp to northbound OR 217 will close for a week until 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5. During this closure, Oregon Department of Transportation crews will reconfigure the ramp to ensure it connects to the new, future auxiliary lane. The auxiliary lane is expected to reduce congestion when it opens in 2025 by giving drivers more space and time to merge safely. The suggested detour route is to take the Greenburg Road on-ramp to head southbound on OR 217 and use the OR 99W interchange to return to northbound OR 217. Spirit of Community: Rios to Rivers
By fall 2025, all dams on the Klamath River will be removed, the largest project of its kind. In this week’s Spirit of Community, we revisit Indigenous youth preparing to kayak the Klamath to the ocean. Earlier this year, with support from the Oregon Community Foundation, these students trained in Chile, learning more than just kayaking. They grew academically and personally, with a few even speaking at the White House. Join us as we talk to Rios to Rivers, Executive Director, Weston Boyles, and Klamath Program Coordinator, Amada Lang about this life-changing experience and the impact these youth have had along the way.
