Rochester-based Auxiom, a provider of comprehensive IT solutions for businesses and other organizations, has hired Matt Wehrly as director of client services and Jason Shotwell as one of the company’s fractional chief information officers.
As director of client services, Wehrly is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the overall experience and satisfaction of Auxiom’s clients. Leading the client service team, which includes the Fractional CIOs, account managers, client account coordinators, and administrative support for client services and project management, Wehrly provides financial and operational guidance to drive excellence for the existing client base and develop and implement strategies that optimize client value.
Wehrly is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping key client strategies and packaging structures and will enhance management initiatives ensuring that Auxiom’s goals and the client’s needs align.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master of Science in Architecture, and his Masters in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University. He has more than 21 years of experience working in the IT field and has led high-performing, cross-functional teams to premier automotive brands and global professional service firms across various verticals, including construction, financial, marketing, and legal sectors.
Under the supervision of Wehrly, Shotwell is responsible for providing clients with strategic direction in technology that aligns with each client’s broader business objectives. He will assist with IT goals, IT budget planning, and facilitating technology changes as he drives technology innovation, enhances cybersecurity, and leverages technology to improve operational efficiency that will give clients a competitive edge. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Oakland University, Shotwell went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University.
Prior to joining Auxiom, Shotwell was a director of IT services and director of service and support managing a team of technologists to support attorneys and staff with around the clock assistance. He also oversaw IT operations coordinating IT obligations during organizational mergers and managed outsourced support for end-user technology assistance, all across multiple time zones.
