‘Find your big dog energy’: Waived adoption fees for all big dogs at Animal Welfare League of Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is waiving adoption fees for all big dogs over 40 lbs for the entire month of August.

“Find your BIG DOG energy!” the shelter stated in a Facebook post.

Big dog adopters will also get a free, large-sized plush dog bed while supplies last.

“Despite fantastic personalities and qualities, big dogs statistically have MUCH longer stays in shelters across the U.S. This is also the case at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria,” the shelter stated in its post.
