Biden, Harris to appear in Maryland this week, first joint trip since Biden dropped out

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will take their first trip together since Biden dropped out of the presidential race and Kamala Harris dropped in , taking over as the Democratic nominee .

The White House announced on Friday, Aug. 9, that Biden and Harris will travel to Maryland on Aug. 15 to “discuss the progress they are making to lower costs for the American people.”

They did not disclose the official location, but the stop will bring Bdien and Harris to Prince George’s County.

Biden and Harris have mentioned throughout their time in office that they were working toward lowering costs for the American people and working families, specifically the costs of health care, utility bills, gas and travel, housing, child care, education and banking services.
