Son stabs man to break up assault on his mother, Montgomery County police say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Montgomery County are investigating after a man was stabbed during an altercation with a woman on Thursday evening.

Just after 5:20 p.m., Mongomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers responded to a home in the 12000 block of Old Columbia Pike.

Investigators said a man and woman were fighting. While the woman was being assaulted by the man, her son grabbed a knife and stabbed the man in the upper body.

The man drove himself to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
