    Body found on Washington and Old Dominion Trail in Sterling

    LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — A body was discovered on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail in Sterling prompting a heavy police presence on Friday morning.

    Details remain limited; however, in a post on X just before 8 a.m., deputies with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office were on the trail between Dominion and Crestview Drive.

    DC News Now’s crew at the scene said the body was found near a power line tower.

    The trail was shut down for several hours on Friday as authorities worked on the scene.

    At this time, the name of the victim has not been released.

    This is a developing story.

    It’s actually very scary on those trails at night , I’ve heard lots of stories over the few years of weird shit going on all across the whole run , specially Herndon area and when your going up to Sterling , lots of gang activities. Cults. Crazy stuff goes on there I’m not sure what the hell is going on. But there’s always something strange
