    Police identify man killed in Northeast DC shooting

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has identified a man who was shot and killed in Northeast D.C. on Saturday morning .

    Police said that at about 10 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Quackenbos St. for sounds of gunshots.

    Officers then looked into the area of the 6100 block of New Hampshire Ave. and found a man who had been shot. The man died there.

    Man stabbed in Langley Park

    Police identified him as 30-year-old Victor Porras-Contreras of Takoma Park, MD.

    MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
