    16-year-old arrested in connection to Northwest DC robbery

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection to a robbery that happened in Northwest D.C. early Saturday morning.

    Police said that at about 2:50 a.m., the suspects approached the victim in the 2000 block of 11 th St.

    Officers said the suspects assaulted the victim and took their possessions before leaving the scene.

    Police arrested one of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy from Capitol Heights, Md.

    Authorities charged him with robbery (force and violence).

    Anyone with information should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

    MPD currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
