Man dead, another hurt in double shooting in DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a double shooting that left a man dead in Southeast D.C. on Monday night.

MPD said that just before 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Stanton Road SE, at the Hillstone Apartments, where two men had been shot.

One man died at the scene.

Police said the second victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
