    City of Hagerstown to temporarily shut down 2 roads

    HAGERSTOWN, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Two roads will be shut down in Hagerstown later this week.

    The City of Hagerstown said the first road closure will occur on Thursday, Aug. 22 to allow crews from the Hagerstown Light Department to replace a utility pole on N. Mulberry Street.

    Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Mulberry Street will be closed through Franklin and Washington Streets until about noon.

    Then on Friday, Aug. 23, the city will be hosting an End Of Summer Block Party on S. Potomac Steet.

    Starting at 4 p.m., S. Potomac Street will be closed between Washington and Antietam streets until around 8 p.m.
