Man killed in collision while riding lawn mower in Gaithersburg

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A man was killed in a collision between a car and a riding lawn mower in Gaithersburg on Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1:15 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) responded to the area of Great Seneca Highway and High Gables Drive.

There, crews found a 28-year-old man – who had been operating a riding lawn mower – unresponsive in the roadway. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 2021 Genesis G70, stayed at the scene.

MCPD’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating further.
