    Man hospitalized after shooting on MLK Jr. Ave in DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are investigating a shooting that left a man hurt in Southeast on Thursday morning.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said around 7:41 a.m., officers were called to the 30000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue for a shooting.

    Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

    MPD said he was conscious and breathing and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

    Details about what led to the shooting remain limited.
