    Montgomery College ranked among top 10 community colleges in the US

    SILVER SPRING, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery College has been named one of the top 10 best community colleges in the United States for 2024 by WalletHub , securing the tenth spot in a national ranking of over 650 institutions.

    The college also earned the title of the best community college in Maryland.

    Jermaine Williams, President of Montgomery College, attributed this achievement to the institution’s strong educational outcomes, high academic standards and diverse program offerings across its campuses in Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Rockville, Germantown and the newly opened East County Education Center in White Oak.

    WalletHub’s evaluation considered key factors like cost, quality and student-faculty ratios, highlighting the value of a Montgomery College education.

    Williams emphasized that the college is not just about academics but also about community, offering something for everyone, and providing an affordable pathway to higher education.
