    Man shot, killed in Northwest DC identified

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it’s investigating a fatal shooting in Northwest D.C. that took place on Friday evening.

    Police said that at about 7 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Girard St. for the report of a shooting.

    When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. The man died at the hospital.

    Police identified him as 25-year-old Martinez Robinson of Waldorf, Md.

    Anyone with information should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

    MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
