During the investigation, the Fire Marshal learned the fire was caused by the improper use of a propane grill and combustible items being too close.

The Fire Marshal’s Office encourages residents to use grills as they are designed and only use the recommended fuels for the type of grill being used.

Officials said all grills should be kept at least 10 to 15 feet from your home or any other materials that can catch fire.
