Five cars including tractor-trailer collide on I-495 in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Maryland State Police said multiple vehicles were involved in a crash on I-495 on Tuesday morning.

The Maryland Department of State Police said that at around 6:30 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Rockville Barrack responded to the area of outer loop I-495, before the Clara Barton ramp, for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that five cars, including a tractor-trailer, were involved in the crash.

No one was injured. All lanes reopened at around 8:20 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
