    1 dead, another injured in motorcycle crash on US 50 in Anne Arundel County

    ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Maryland State Police (MSP) said all eastbound lanes on US 50 were closed after a man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Anne Arundel County early Wednesday morning.

    Around 4:20 a.m., troopers were called to the crash near Rowe Boulevard in the Annapolis area. MSP said their investigation indicated that a 2019 Ford Fiesta hit a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle while trying to change lanes.

    Man hospitalized after hit-and-run near I-95 in Prince George’s County

    Andrew David Frye, 34, of Crownsville, who was riding the motorcycle, died at the scene.

    MSP said medics took the driver of the Ford to the hospital for treatment.

    For several hours, traffic was diverted to MD 450, West Street. In an update at 7:46 a.m., officials said all eastbound lanes before Exit 24 have reopened.

    The crash remains under investigation by state police.
