    Zoo animals, carnival games and water fun at Maryland Zoo ‘Wild Water Splash Days’

    MARYLAND ( DC News Now ) — Kids of all ages will have the chance to cool off from the heat and enjoy the “ultimate end-of-summer bash” at the Maryland Zoo this Labor Day weekend.

    The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will host “Wild Water Splash Days” on Saturday, Aug. 31, and Sunday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

    Kids will enjoy thrilling water slides, slip-n-slides, splash pads, carnival games, penguin mascot appearances, carousel rides, storytime and more.

    There will even be a Baltimore Oriole bird appearance on Sept. 1 at 11 a.m.

    Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs to host 3rd annual DC Afro Latino Fest

    Families can also see how some species cool off with a grizzly bear enrichment pool, river otter ice treats and African penguin sprinklers.
