    Prince George’s County Animal Shelter hosting rabbit handling classes

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Animal Shelter will be holding two more Rabbit Handling and Care Classes this year and the next one is coming up in a couple of weeks.

    The free, hour-long workshop will go over how to care for and handle rabbits, their diets, how to clean their enclosures and more for prospective rabbit and bunny parents.

    The classes are hosted by senior volunteer, Janelle, dubbed “The Buddy Lady” by the shelter. She has worked with rabbits for over 23 years and fostered many as well, according to the shelter.

    The next class will be held on Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. and the last one for the year will be on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.

    Walk-ins are welcome but anyone interested should RSVP by emailing MPPerez@co.pg.md.us.
