    Dog reunited with owner after being stolen in armed robbery in PG County

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A dog has been reunited with its owner after being stolen in an armed robbery in Hyattsville on Saturday morning, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD).

    According to PGPD, officers responded to an armed robbery in the 4800 block of Avondale Overlook Drive shortly after 7 a.m.

    The owner of the stolen dog, “Yana,” told DC News Now that two suspects took her dog from her at gunpoint as she was walking her. Yana is a brown 1-year-old Havanese.

    PGPD announced on Sunday night that Yana had been found and reunited with her owner.

    Her owner posted on the community website, Nextdoor, that Yana had been found wandering in Landover.
