    Man charged in brother’s murder weeks after fight, injury in Prince George’s County

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police said a man who pushed his brother during a fight in August faces a murder charge after the brother died as a result of his injuries.

    The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said Monday that officers arrested Rene Pop Chub, 32, of Capitol Heights, Md.

    PGPD said officers went to the 500 block of Shady Glen Dr. around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. When police arrived, the found Crisantos Pop Chub, 46, of Capitol Heights, Md. on the ground, along with Pop Chub.

    The police department said Crisantos was unconscious when they found him. Medics took the brothers to the hospital. Crisantos died on Aug. 30, two weeks later.

    Investigators determined the brothers had an argument and that Pop Chub pushed Crisantos who fell and hit his head.

    As of Monday, Sept. 2, Pop Chub was being held without bond.

    The Prince George’s County Police Department asked anyone with information relevant to its investigation to call 301-516-2512.
