    Missing 86-year-old man from Anne Arundel County found dead in Ellicott City

    ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Anne Arundel County said an 86-year-old man who was missing for nearly a week was found dead in Howard County on Sept. 4.

    The Anne Arundel County Police Department (AACPD) said Robert Bell Sr., 86, disappeared on Aug. 30. after he left his home in the Glen Burnie area around 10 a.m.

    That same day, Bell was spotted near US-40 & North Payson Street, in the Baltimore area and police believed he was driving a pickup truck.

    As the search for him continued, investigators believed that he may have needed assistance and was considered a “critical missing” person.

    For several days, Anne Arundel County police continued their search but were unsuccessful.

    In an update on Thursday, investigators told DC News Now that Bell was found dead in Ellicott City.

    Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
