Calvert County officials search for man who made threats against police, children

CALVERT COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A multi-jurisdictional search is underway for a person believed to have made threats against children and police officers.

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said 21-year-old Kevin Lee Bonnie posted multiple statements online expressing intent to harm officers and children waiting at bus stops. The posts were made on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office and St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office are also actively investigating the threats.

Though he has had recent interactions with law enforcement in Charles and St. Mary’s counties, CCSO said they do not know where he is now.

Officials said he might be driving a dark 2020 Chevy Sonic with Maryland license plate 4GG3607. Anyone who sees him should call 911.
