    2 teen boys charged for Glenmont shooting, police say

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that two teenage boys were charged in connection to a shooting that happened in the Wheaton-Glenmont area on Tuesday.

    The boys are 15 and 13 years old.

    Just after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a shooting in progress in the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle.

    Detectives said a confrontation broke out between several juveniles, including the 13 and 15-year-old. At some point, a gun was displayed, the victims ran and the suspects chased after them.

    A short time later, a car was in the area when the 15-year-old shot at the two people inside. They were both not hurt.

    The two suspects were later taken into custody and are currently at the Department of Juvenile Services.
