Woman killed, man injured after shooting in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a woman was killed and a man was injured after a shooting in Northwest D.C. on Friday night.

Police said that at about 10:30 p.m., they were dispatched to 1001 Spring Road for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman and a man who had been shot inside the home.

The woman died. She was identified as 33-year-old Tanisha Morris, of Northwest.

The man was transported to the hospital.
