Man dies after being struck by vehicle, Montgomery County police investigating

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) is investigating after a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning.

According to MCPD, at around 4:40 a.m., officers and Montgomery County fire rescue personnel responded to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Rodney Road for the report of a pedestrian struck.

The pedestrian, a man, died at the scene. His name will be released after the next of kin is notified, according to the police.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
