    Man arrested for DWI after crashing into Leesburg home, police say

    LOUDOUN COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Officers arrested a man after he crashed into a home in Leesburg on Sunday night, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

    Around 9 p.m., police officers responded to a report of a car crashing into a residence in the 800 block of Rust Drive NE.

    Upon arriving, officers discovered that a 2020 Subaru had crashed into the front of the house, causing structural damage. No one was injured.

    Leesburg police said that the driver, identified as 57-year-old Erik C. Henderson, of Leesburg, was driving northbound on Plaza Street NE when he drove over a curb at the intersection of Plaza Street NE and Rust Drive NE, crashing through a fence and striking the house.

    Officers arrested Henderson. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
