    Man shot in Southeast, DC police investigating

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating after a man was shot in Southeast on Sunday night.

    According to MPD, officers received a call for the shooting around 10:15 p.m. in the 4400 block of E Street.

    MPD looking for prisoner after he escaped from Southeast DC hospital

    Once on the scene, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was conscious and breathing.

    MPD said the suspect is a man around 5 feet 6 inches tall. He is described as wearing a red hat and a black and yellow hoodie. He was last seen leaving the area in a black truck.
