    Stafford County deputies rescue raccoon trapped in elementary school dumpster

    STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Stafford County deputies said a “masked intruder” was rescued after it got stuck in the dumpster at an elementary school last week.

    The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said deputies responded to Rockhill Elementary School on Tuesday, Sept. 3 after a “curious raccoon visitor” got himself stuck in a dumpster.

    School staff had discovered the “trash panda” and deputies were able to remove the raccoon and release it back into the wild.

    SCSO said the raccoon appeared to be healthy so “fortunately there was no need for an ER visit!”
