    Man taken to hospital in critical condition after three-vehicle crash in Northeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Officials said a man was in the hospital Tuesday after he was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Northeast D.C.

    In a post on X around 2:30 a.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said crews were called to a crash with a person trapped inside a vehicle near Franklin Street and Lincoln Road.

    Once on the scene, firefighters discovered three vehicles had collided.

    DCFD said crews used several tools to remove the roof and successfully extricated the man.

    He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

    The condition of the other drivers is unknown at this time.

    I lived in that area and witnessed a man killed on a motorcycle years ago. I'm surprised nothing has been done about that intersection. God bless those injured and the motorist. DC's traffic pattern has become TERRIBLE!
