WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday, Sept. 9 could prove pivotal in the race for the White House.

The debate kicked off with an awkward handshake, as Harris crossed the stage to greet Trump. Both candidates presented contrasting styles, with Trump’s assertive delivery energizing his base and Harris focusing on policy-driven responses.

Joia Jefferson Nuri, an executive leadership and public speaking coach, noted that Harris’s calm approach contrasted with Trump’s combative tone. She suggested both candidates could have worked on their talking points.
