Light display shines bright at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring, highlights diversity

SILVER SPRING, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A display is shining its light at the Veterans Plaza and spreading positivity in the Silver Spring community.

Montgomery County officials said the colorful tribute highlights the diversity throughout the Silver Spring community.

County leaders and the Department of General Services (DGS) brought the dynamic light display to life after the design’s budget was approved.

With hues of red, white, blue and purple, each color dances on the platform.

Officials said the DGS played a vital role in installing the display, and different colors will shine bright each month.
