Woman shot inside Super 8 Motel in Waldorf

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said a woman was found shot inside a Super 8 Motel in Waldorf on Wednesday morning.

Deputies said that at about 11:40 a.m., they responded to a call for a shooting at the Super 8 Motel on Crain Highway.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot in the leg. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and then released.

CCSO said a preliminary investigation shows that two men entered the motel and went to the third floor. That’s when they shot at a group of people who were walking in the hallway.

Deputies are working to determine the motive. They do not believe the incident was random.
