    Woman hospitalized with serious injuries after pedestrian hit-and-run in Woodbridge

    WOODBRIDGE, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left one woman in the hospital with serious injuries Thursday morning.

    The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said that around 6:05 a.m., officers responded to Daniel Stuart Square and Maryland Avenue for a crash.

    PWCPD said that the driver was trying to turn left onto Richmond Highway when he hit the pedestrian, a 57-year-old woman. She was crossing Richmond Highway.

    Police said that the driver left before officers arrived.

    The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    PWCPD said the car was a “boxy-style red Kia subcompact crossover with dark-colored rims.”
