    Man killed in Northeast DC shooting, MPD searching for suspect

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man died after a shooting in Northeast D.C. on Sunday morning.

    MPD said that around 8:30 a.m., it was dispatched to the 4900 block of Eads Place for a shooting.

    Man killed in shooting near Dupont Circle in DC, police investigating

    When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He later died.

    The victim’s name has not been released, as of Monday morning.

    According to MPD, the suspect was last seen running behind Kelly Miller Middle School, wearing a black shirt with white writing and black pants.

    The shooting remains under investigation as a homicide. Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
