FCSO: Teen arrested, charged for stabbing another teen in Frederick County

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) announced that it arrested a teenager over the weekend for stabbing another teen.

FCSO said that deputies responded to a local hospital around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 10. Officials learned that a 16-year-old boy had been stabbed in the Ballenger neighborhood earlier that day before being taken to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office said that the injured teen was in “stable condition.” He has since been released from the hospital and is continuing his recovery.

FCSO said that the victim went to that area to fight the suspect, another 16-year-old boy, when he was “attacked and stabbed multiple times in the back.”

Deputies arrested the suspect on Sunday. He is being charged as an adult with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and carrying a weapon with intent to injure.
